Out of the Blue No. 2 is a study in movement, energy, and contrast.
A large white flower fills the canvas, surrounded by layers of blue, pink, yellow, coral, and green. The petals stretch outward from a dark, textured center, shifting between soft areas of color and more expressive marks and lines.
I wanted the flower to feel active rather than perfectly still. The loose edges, visible marks, and flashes of color throughout the petals and background create a sense of movement, while the darker center anchors the composition.
This is an original acrylic painting created as part of the Out of the Blue collection.
